Looks like a tidy little wave ideal for beginners and intermediates. I have been speaking to some friends in Pembrokeshire and it sounds like there has been a period of great waves. Small but perfectly formed with a good period and light offshores- gutted. I maybe in the mountains but I am looking forward to a surf.

Southerndown View

Here is a photograph of Southerndown I took with my Nikon D200 with a sigma 10-20 mm lens.

If you are a keen photographer then send any Wales Watersports related images to us and if we like them we will post them on our site with a credit.

Southerndown Surfing

I'm no surfer but I took a trip with the family down to Southerndown (follow the sign posts from the M4 Bridgend turn off) and not only will you be spoilt by the fantastic scenery but the surfing is popular down there also.

Anyway a few photos to get you thinking - waves seemed pretty calm to me that day but the surfers appeared to enjoy it!

Blue Kite what's your thoughts?

More eye candy from the mountains and a watersports
connection. We recently had Olympic Gold Medal winner Pippa
Wilson come and stay. As a keen kitesurfer she
fancied a go at Snow Kiting and typically she was
pretty handy.

Not really watersports but this is what learning to kitesurf can lead on to.
Having a great time, snow is really good and so far wind everyday.
Sorry.....
